5. Professional conferences#
Here are a list of conferences of interest:
5.1. International/national#
AGU Fall Meeting: Held in December every year. Largest conference in geophysics including hydrology.
EGU General Assembly: Annual meeting cover a broad topics of geoscience. Held in April/May in Europe.
GSA Annual Meeting: Annual meeting held in September/October. Geoscience focused.
Goldschmidt: Annual conference with a focus on geochemistry and public health. Usually in the summer (July/August)
AWRA Annual Conference annual conference held in Nov. Has Spring/Summer conference as well.
ASCE/EWRI Congress: medium size, has water management and modeling focus; held in May.
5.2. Regional/local#
WaterSciCon: Biennial conference that focus on hydrology. Held in the summer (June/July). Medium size.
Computational method in hydrology (CMWR): Biennial conference held between North America and Europe. Usually occurs in the summer or early Fall.
MODFLOW and More: small conference with a heavy focus on MODFLOW and ParFlow. Held annually at Princeton University.
Interagency Conference on Research in the Watersheds: Biennial, small conference with focus on watersheds, forest management, and water quality. Has a strong federal agency presence (e.g., USFS, USGS and DOE).
